The Pocono Mountains are one of the best destinations in the country if you’re looking to enjoy a day of fun at an indoor water park. The region is home to four expansive indoor water parks with tons of slides, wave pools, and more! These parks aren’t only popular with kids—there’s plenty for adults to love as well, with many parks having features like swim-up bars, lazy rivers, and spas.

While many of the indoor water parks in the Poconos have similar features, there are significant differences—check out the list below to find the best park for you!

Great Wolf Lodge is a massive indoor water park that families love. It has everything a kid (or a kid at heart!) could ever dream of—a four-story tree house, slides, wave pools, a lazy river, tube rides, and more. There’s plenty for people of all ages, from mini-slides for the littlest kiddos to a tube slide with a stunning 40-foot drop! It’s open year-round and kept at a balmy 84 degrees. Great Wolf Lodge also has various dining and shopping options when you’re done exploring the water park.

Kalahari is the ultimate family escape! This massive entertainment complex has an indoor water park, outdoor water park, jungle adventures ropes course, escape rooms, black light mini golf, and more! While Kalahari is definitely a hit with kids and families, there’s plenty for adults to love too, including indoor and outdoor spas, a salon, shopping, and swim-up bars! The resort holds multiple events throughout the year, including a food and wine festival, special holiday events, and live entertainment.

Aquatopia at Camelback Resort

Aquatopia, Camelback Resort’s indoor water park, features a transparent roof that allows ample sunlight to flood the space. That—and the permanent 84 degree weather—makes it feel like summer any time of year! There’s a wave pool, lots of slides, an adventure river, and a simulated surfing experience. Aquatopia is also fun to visit at night, when the space takes on a softly-lit, magical atmosphere that both kids and grown ups love.

If you’re visiting during the summer, the fun extends outside to Camelbeach, Camelback’s outdoor water park—the largest in the Poconos!

SplitRock Resort’s indoor waterpark is smaller than some other resorts’ offerings, but it’s still lots of fun! It’s also a more affordable option as far as indoor water parks go, which can get quite pricey. H2Oohh! has plenty of slides, a wave pool, surfing experience, splash land for little kids, and more. When you’re ready to dry off, SplitRock also has an arcade, mini golf, bowling, and a movie theater!
