Wingz and a Prayer

In an unassuming shopping strip mall in Pocono Summit, you’ll find some of the best wings you’ve ever had. They offer regular and boneless wings, and a list of dozens of homemade sauces to choose from (we recommend the Nashville hot, berry barbeque, and honey sriracha!). They also have some amazing sides like mac and cheese, fries, and collard greens. The owner and staff are welcoming and clearly take pride in their food. Don’t miss this place!

Yaya’s Fish Fry

Skip the typical fast food places and definitely plan to make a stop at Yaya’s. Their quintessential Southern soul food is the definition of comfort food. Fried fish sandwiches, gumbo, hushpuppies, Old Bay fries, homemade coleslaw…there are so many delicious-sounding options, it’s hard to choose. They also have excellent steamed options if not not everyone in your party is in the mood for fried deliciousness. Remember to grab a slice of red velvet cake to go!

Joe Bosco Authentic Smokehouse BBQ

Joe Bosco, located in Delaware Water Gap, is the absolute perfect place to go after a long day kayaking, hiking, or otherwise adventuring along the gorgeous Delaware Water Gap. The pulled pork, brisket, baked beans, and mac and cheese are family favorites. If you’re really looking to indulge, definitely get the Hot Mess–a glorious pile of french fries, pulled pork, bbq and cheese sauces, jalapenos, avocado mousse, bacon jam, and creme fraiche.

The restaurant is spacious and welcoming. They also have a very nice outdoor patio if it’s a nice day and you’d like to eat outside.

Mamma Maria’s a classic Poconos pizzeria with lots of great things to try. The pasta dishes, hot subs, salads, and garlic knots can’t be beat. The Grandma’s pizza–a fantastically greasy pan pizza with flavorful cheese and mounds of fantastic plum tomato sauce on top–is a local favorite for good reason!
